We have lots of volunteer roles for people who want to get involved and support our charity. You may be a former CES patient yourself or have a family member who has been struck down by cauda equina syndrome. Perhaps you are a healthcare professional who would like to raise awareness in the workplace?
Have a look at our volunteer roles below and let us know if you feel you would like to explore them a bit further.
Please email [email protected] to register your interest.
Volunteer Support Group Meeting Hosts
We are always looking for hosts for our support group meetings in different areas of the country. If you have CES and would like to host a meeting for others in your local area please get in touch. We are able to cover travel expenses and will provide refreshments and drinks for your meetings.
As well as supporting others you will find it gives you a reason to be social and an opportunity to make friends yourself with others who understand exactly how you feel.
Volunteer Workplace Awareness Ambassadors
We can provide training packages for you to use if you would like to spread awareness of cauda equina syndrome in your workplace, support you with presentations and powerful resources to deliver impact and create a memorable training session.
Volunteer CES Buddy
We have a group of trained mentors who all have cauda equina syndrome and offer a friendly listening ear to others. If you feel able to support others to make their journey easier please get in touch. We respectfully ask that all CES Buddy volunteers have a lived experience of CES and are three years post diagnosis themselves.
Patient Participation Group members
If you have lived experience of CES and would like to join our Patient participation group to help our charity with research and further work around CES then we would love to hear from you.
Corporate supporters
If you or your company would like to support the work of Cauda Equina Champions Charity please get in touch with us. We have lots of events throughout the year and would love to hear any fundraising ideas you may have. We also work with many corporate organisations who have an interest in cauda equina syndrome and we are always interested in learning more about products and services that might improve quality of life for our members.
