Our partners and supporters are always going the extra mile to raise funds and awareness for the Cauda Equina Champions Charity.
With CES Awareness Week (29th September – 3rd October) in full swing we wanted to share some upcoming events as well as resources and information that our wonderful fundraisers have pulled together.
On Tuesday 3rd October, Irwin Mitchell LLP will be hosting the latest in its series of free ‘Let’s Talk About Cauda Equina Syndrome’ webinars.
The Road to Rehabilitation – Part 1 will take place between 1.30pm and 3.00pm and legal experts Julianne Moore, Lindsay Tomlinson and Gurpreet Lalli will be joined by guests Damian Smith, who is a spinal cord injury specialist nurse and Mark Buckingham, who is a physiotherapist.
The panel will cover:
● The post-surgery pathway from the National Suspected Cauda Equina pathway
● The importance of physiotherapy and how that can help
● What, where and who should be supporting CES patients post discharge to maximise outcomes
CES survivor Angela Daymond will also talk about her experience post discharge, the impact on her day-to-day life and her rehabilitation journey.
