As a Cauda Equina patient, you are entitled to specialist support from the NHS. This could be support with any of your CES related issues including bladder and bowels, pain, mobility, sexual disfunction and mental health. You may be offered support as an inpatient or as an outpatient in specialist CES clinics. If you haven’t already had a referral into your regional spinal cord injury centre, you can ask your GP to refer you by letter to your nearest centre. Spinal Cord Injury Centres (SCICS) are doing fantastic work to support CES patients to enable them to make the best recoveries possible. Here is a regional map of England’s Spinal Injury Centres
